An Ancient Healing Art created by the Buddha's physician, it is a therapy that is both dynamic and relaxing. The practitioner guides the receiver through a series of Yoga postures while palming and thumbing along the body's energy lines.

It is often referred to as "Lazy Man's Yoga" because it brings the benefits of Yoga practice although the practitioner does all the work!

Thai Yoga Therapy is known to relieve muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, and balances the body energetically.

THAI YOGA THERAPY & ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE

Thai Yoga Therapy

Like with the Alexander Technique, there is a deep awareness of the importance of releasing throughout the whole body and to keep postural balance of the head, neck and torso. Thus, our postural reflexes are activated promoting lengthening, widening and outward expansion for both the practitioner and the receiver in a graceful and meditative yoga dance.

Although it is more physical than the Technique and there is no apparent teaching, the physicality of it all actually becomes an opportunity to extend our comfort zone for movement.

Besides, my hands are always teaching kinesthetically and therefore just as my AT practice is being influenced by my Thai Yoga, the latter is supported by my 20 years as an Alexander Technique teacher.
